Previously, he served as Vice Medical and Dental Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at the Technical University of Munich. His focal points are oral and maxillofacial reconstructive surgery for oncological and trauma patients and full mouth and aesthetic rehabilitation. He is the author of several textbooks in this field.

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is one of the best reconstructive surgical departments in Western Europe. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, both for diagnostics and surgical and rehabilitative treatments. Patientcentred care of all oral medical lesions and prosthodontic and aesthetic rehabilitation of oncological patients is an integral part of this discipline.
